End of Month 7 - a few more finishes for Show & Tell

Here is Deanna's Tiger Lily block.  She is using pink French General fabrics for her flowers,

Kris is making her blocks using wool fabric for her applique's and a cotton shirting print for her back ground.

Kris is making great progress on her quilt.  Look how beautiful her blocks look all laid out together!

Patti's block made from hand dyed Batiks against a solid gray back ground.

This is a grouping of blocks made by Pamela Wynfield.  Pamela is using all hand dyed fabrics to create her quilt.

Here is Nancy's beautiful block featuring Kaffe Fasset fabrics.

I'd like to give a big "Shout Out" to the Apple Valley Needle Threaders quilt group in Berryville, VA! Such a wonderful, friendly, talented group of quilters!
They invited me to lecture and teach an applique workshop for their members this month. I was excited for the opportunity to share some information about Esther Blair Matthews and her Shenandoah Valley Botanical Album quilt.
It was such a pleasure to meet this group as well as lots of fun!

If you've just discovered our Sew Along or have been contemplating joining in - it's never too late to begin.  And we love Show & Tell! If you are just beginning this journey, or working at your own pace - we'd  still love to see your blocks.  Even if they are from months we've already covered.

Stay tuned... just 2 more days before the baton is passed over to Dawn to reveal NEXT month's Botanical Block!
Happy Stitching!
Doreen & Dawn

  2. You are welcome Kris!
Thank you for sharing pictures of your beautiful blocks with us. I am so inspired by all the variations quilter's come up with when making their blocks for this special quilt.
